How it Works: You select an available date below (ignore the time), enter delivery details in the form, and Venmo me a little something. I bake and deliver. You make someone very happy!
Bread will be delivered in a two day window, on the day selected or day after. I’ll deliver within a 3 mile radius of Bancroft Elementary School, Washington DC., or you can pick up from my home. You can also request delivery location/timing exceptions via email. Schedule requests are tentative until confirmed.

Who Am I? Not a professional baker, although I have made a few Covid wedding cakes and might have been paid in babysitting for them. But I am an avid baker. There’s an saying among those who know me that you don’t leave my house without a freshly baked carb in hand. It’s mostly true. I don’t want to make a full time living out of baking, but I love to share good food with others. This pop up bakery is mostly a chance to put pretty good bread on the tables of more people, and maybe another cake or two. Along the way, I’ll keep growing and exploring as a baker, and share that too. You can follow along with my baking stories on the blog under #prettygoodbakes.
Cost: $5-10 suggested donation, a little more for a handwritten note (or if you just want to encourage me to keep doing this). All funds used to buy tremendous amounts of flour. @JeannieRose-Barksdale on Venmo. Thank you!

Just Pretty Good? I’ll admit at the outset my baking isn’t perfect. I promise not to send out a bakes you can’t give with pride, but some days you might get a loaf with a crazy high ear or an extra puffy bagel. But the beautiful thing about home baked goods is that even imperfectly done, they’re still pretty good. Just like us imperfect humans.
Pretty Good Bread: It may not be perfect, but it’s still pretty good!
